carbonsteelpan.com (the Site) is an independent cookware comparison website. This policy explains what information the Site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you provide. If you email us or leave a comment, we receive whatever you send, typically a name, an email address and your message. We use it only to respond and to maintain the Site.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the Site’s hosting infrastructure records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps. Comments may collect the commenter’s IP address and browser string to help spam detection.

Cookies. The Site uses cookies for basic functionality. If you leave a comment you may opt in to cookies that remember your name and email. If we enable analytics, it will be noted here along with the provider.

Affiliate links and third parties

The Site participates in affiliate programmes, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a link to a retailer such as Amazon, that retailer sets its own cookies to attribute any purchase, and its own privacy policy governs what it collects from that point. We do not see your purchase details, payment information or account data. We receive only aggregate commission reporting.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

Embedded content

Pages may include embedded content such as videos or images hosted elsewhere. Embedded content behaves as if you visited the hosting website directly, and that website may collect data about your interaction with it.

How long we keep data

Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-ups can be recognised. Email correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle the enquiry. Server logs rotate on our host’s standard schedule.

Your rights

You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting us. This does not affect data we must keep for administrative or security purposes. EU and UK visitors have rights under the GDPR; California residents have rights under the CCPA. We honour reasonable requests from anyone regardless of location.

Children

The Site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes and contact

Changes to this policy will be posted on this page with a revised date. Questions and requests: contact us.
